Find out more about our FREE Mastery Professional Development Programme by attending a live forum on Zoom.
The programme is fully funded by the DfE – including £1,000 for your school towards teacher release.
Each forum is hosted by a panel of specialists including a Herts for Learning advisor, Primary Mastery Specialists, an independent maths consultant with recent working knowledge of the Ofsted handbook and a Head Teacher who is currently participating in the programme.
About the programme
170 Primary schools in our region are already benefitting from the hands-on learning and peer to peer support that form the basis of this collaborative programme to develop, embed and sustain a mastery approach and this is being replicated within thousands of Primary schools across England, who are finding it particularly beneficial in addressing the impact of Covid19.
Whether you are already working with one of the many planning schemes, such as Essentials, White Rose, Power Maths, and Maths No Problem or are just beginning to consider a mastery approach, we have a great team of classroom-based Primary Mastery Specialists who are keen to share their knowledge and experiences with your schools as we work together in small Work Groups of around 6 local schools throughout the coming years. In addition, Herts for Learning maths advisors will offer FREE (funded by the DfE) bespoke support for those schools taking part in the preparatory ‘Mastery Readiness’ phase, before beginning the Development phase of our programme.
Joining this programme will ensure that you keep up to date through topical sessions on recent DfE initiatives, which this year have included:
-
- Curriculum prioritisation
- Working with the new DfE Mathematics Guidance
- New Early Years curriculum
- Latest research on Mastery pedagogy
