Express your interest in this fully funded NDNA Early Maths programme, perfect for Mastering Number schools!
As part of the government’s Best Start in Life strategy, the DfE has increased funding for NDNA’s (National Day Nurseries Association) Maths Champions Programme, helping more nursery practitioners support children’s early mathematical development.
This fully-funded early maths programme aligns well with Mastering Number and helps strengthen continuity between Nursery and Reception mathematics, supporting children to make a strong start.
EEF evaluation evidence found that children in Nursery settings taking part in the programme made an average of three additional months’ progress, rising to six months for children eligible for Early Years Pupil Premium (EYPP).
Maths Champions cohorts begin at various points throughout the calendar year. If a setting meets the eligibility criteria and is allocated a place, a member of the NDNA team will contact them to discuss next steps and a suitable start date.
For more information, please review this flyer and short brochure. Please also take a look at these videos to find out what teachers from Early Years settings are saying about the Maths Champions programme.
