How can teachers use AI effectively to design mastery-aligned materials for the classroom?
We have initially measured effectiveness of AI for teacher planning by focusing on the teacher’s confidence in using it and the time taken to generate materials. This national RIWG moves the focus towards quality assuring the AI-generated materials in terms of aligning with Teaching for Mastery, and the impact that the changed engagement has on teachers’ professional development.
Further information from the NCETM on content for this RIWG will follow in due course.
Who is this Work Group for?
Participants will ideally be Secondary Mastery Specialists but should at least be from a school that has engaged with Teaching for Mastery.
What is the cost?
The national Research and Innovation Work Group is fully funded by the Maths Hubs Programme, so is free to participating schools.
